Muiltibase Rods - 1MM.159.1
Wooden box holding a set of 19 strips in natural wood and of different lengths. The strips serve to build number rods for different bases (from base 11 to base 16) and this material has to be combined with the Number Rods for the decimal system. (1MM.080). The two sets of material together are used for counting in 15 different bases, which leads to a clear understanding of the highest number of units in the different number systems as well as the different "tens' involved. The rods are accompanied by a set of wooden cards with the numbers 1-9, A-F and 10, for the association of quantities and symbols
Identity Cards - 1MM.159.1A
Two sets of cards for the number systems serve for the identification of each system in two different ways (no picture) |

Multibase Hierarchal material - base 2 and 3 - 1MM.159.2
Material consisting of : a) a wooden board covered by clear plastic; b) 32 cubes and prisms in hierarchical colours, constituting a geometric representation of the hierarchies involved for both bases; c) the related disks for the powers, from power 0 to the 6th power, for both bases. The cubes, prisms and disks are stored in a wooden box. The material is used for counting forwards and backwards, the formation of numbers from base 10 to base 2 or 3 and vice versa |

Multibase bead frame - 1MM160
Horizontal wooden frame with 12 vertical wires (from power 0 to the 11th power) , each strung with 16 beads in the hierarchical colours. The frame has a special wooden screen with a small circular window and a scale for indicating the number system (from base 2 to base 16). The material is used for counting, forming, numbers, adding, subtracting and multiplying in the various number systems

The Fourth Power of Binomial - 1MM.161
Material consisting of 16 pieces which derive directly from those of the Algebraic Binomial Cube (1MM.163), as regards the colours. The material represents the concrete construction of the formula : (a+b) to the power 4) The material is stored in a wooden box with two hinged sides for easy removal and replacement of the pieces
The fifth Power of Binomial -1MM.162
Material consisting of 32 pieces which derive directly from those of the Fourth Power of Binomial (1MM.161) but in different colours. This allows a grouping which provides a guide for organizing the formula : (a+b) to the power of 5. The material is stored in a wooden box with two hinged sides for easy removal and replacement of the pieces
Algebraic Binomial Cube - 1MM.163
This binomial cube is smaller than the one used in "Casa dei Bambini" (1MM.142). This new material for (a+b) power 3 provides the basis necessary for the sensorial construction of higher powers of the same binomial : (a+b) power 4 and (a+b) power 5. The material is stored in a wooden box with two hinged sides for easy removal and replacement of the pieces and with a colour-coded pattern on the lid
